Job description
Enhance students' learning experience as a Tutor in the 2026 Summer School Program at Durham Continuing Education. Assist Grades 9-12 students through engaging academic support, either in-person or online. Durham Continuing Education is looking for Tutor candidates for its Summer School Program held at Donald A. Wilson Secondary School in Whitby. You will provide essential support to students in small groups or individually, guiding them through course materials, assignments, and accommodating unique learning needs. Building a communication pathway with Summer School administration will also be key in ensuring student success. Key Responsibilities: • Assist students with classroom assignments and homework • Keep accurate logs of student interaction and progress • Support online engagement through Google Classroom • Conduct Google Meets for additional student help • Liaise with Summer School staff and administration Requirements: • At least one year of post-secondary education completed • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications • Background in education or tutoring preferred • Familiarity with online teaching platforms is an asset • Solid communication skills to engage with students Become an integral part of the academic success of high school students this summer! #J-18808-Ljbffr
