Job description
We are a busy professional family in midtown, Toronto, looking for a full-time House Manager / Housekeeper Cook to help run our home. This is primarily a household role, not a nanny role. All children are in school or daycare. Childcare support is helpful occasionally, but the main responsibilities are housekeeping, laundry, ironing, cooking, tidying, and keeping the home organized. Main responsibilities: Daily tidying and household reset High-quality housekeeping and cleaning Laundry, folding, putting away, and ironing Care of adult and children’s clothing, including delicate/nice clothes Simple but tasty cooking for the family Kitchen organization, grocery list support, fridge and pantry organization Preparing children’s clothes, bags, and school items when needed Occasional help with children, pickups, or sick days if agreed in advance We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in private homes Very clean, organized, and detail oriented A confident cook Experienced with laundry and ironing Warm around children, but professional with boundaries Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy Comfortable working in a busy family home Able to follow a weekly schedule and checklist Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday Approximately 40 hours per week Exact hours to be discussed Compensation: $20 to $23/hour gross, depending on experience Payroll employment Vacation pay and public holidays according to Ontario employment standards Live-in option: A private room with its own bathroom is available for the right person. Live-in is optional and working hours remain clearly defined. Requirements: References from previous private household employment Legal authorization to work in Canada Police background check Driver’s licence is an asset but not required Please reply with your experience, availability, cooking experience, and references.
