Job description
Become a vital part of Hull Services as a Night Counsellor in Calgary, offering overnight support for youth in need. This full-time role ensures safety and promotes well-being among children aged 6 to 17 years.

In the Turtle Lodge program, Night Counsellors work during the night shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, addressing mental health and behavioral issues among children and adolescents. Responsibilities include conducting rounds for safety, providing crisis support through therapeutic methods, and fostering a structured environment that nurtures positive social interactions. Your role will be integral to the children's progress and stability.

Key Responsibilities: • Monitor children’s safety through routine checks • Provide timely crisis intervention and support • Model appropriate behavior and life skills • Document observations and significant incidents • Engage with youth during intake processes

Requirements: • High school diploma minimum; related education preferred • Familiarity with therapeutic youth care methodologies • Strong ability to connect with children in treatment • Background check required for employment • Driving experience and license preferred
