Job descriptionJob Overview Join Breakout, a fast‑growing crypto prop trading firm backed by Kraken, as a hands‑on performance marketing lead. This role is not a management position; you will run and own all paid media accounts across Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Reddit, YouTube, programmatic, crypto publishers, and emerging channels.
Responsibilities
Own the global performance marketing strategy across every paid channel Breakout invests in.
Set and manage budget, forecasts, and channel mix across regions and customer segments, with full accountability for CAC, payback, and ROAS against our targets.
Run every ad account, every day, briefing, building, launching, optimising, and cancelling campaigns yourself.
Partner with the Performance Creative Designer to brief creative concepts and iterate at volume.
Build and maintain a structured testing roadmap across new and emerging channels with clear success criteria and kill rules.
Work with Analytics and BI to build measurement and attribution infrastructure: MMP implementation, pixel hygiene, server‑side tracking, and incrementality testing.
Collaborate with Lifecycle, Content, Affiliate, and Product to align paid media with the full funnel for acquisition, activation, and retention.
Trade frameworks, channel learnings, and live test results with Payward’s (Kraken’s) performance marketing team, and share insights back to the wider group.
Translate test learnings into repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and documentation for the marketing organization.
Present results, forecasts, and strategic bets directly to Breakout and Kraken leadership.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
6+ years of hands‑on performance marketing experience, with a track record of scaling paid acquisition in a high‑growth environment.
Demonstrated success managing multi‑million‑dollar paid budgets with real accountability for CAC and payback.
Deep hands‑on experience across major performance channels: Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit, programmatic, and emerging platforms.
Strong command of attribution, MMPs (Appsflyer, Branch), and incrementality measurement.
Sharp creative instincts; able to brief, review, and iterate creative without getting lost in the craft.
Analytical depth, comfortable in spreadsheets, dashboards, and SQL‑adjacent work; build your own models to pressure‑test assumptions.
Comfortable being both strategist and operator, able to pitch a channel test one day, launch it the next, and provide a board‑ready narrative by Friday.
Crypto knowledge or deep fluency in crypto, trading, or a high‑intent category; understanding the needs of serious traders.
Thrives in a fast‑paced, remote, outcome‑driven environment; not needing permission to run a test, and comfortable showing work that may not land.
Nice to Haves
Experience in prop trading, leverage trading, futures, or regulated financial products.
Experience running global, multi‑region paid acquisition with localised channel mixes and budgets.
