This role is for you if: You’re an experienced AV installer who takes pride in clean work, solid systems, and helping others get better. You like being in the field and leading by example and you’re passionate about delivering transformational meeting room projects with a best‑in‑class client experience.
As an AV Installation Lead at WBM, you’ll spend most of your time doing what you do best: building, installing, troubleshooting, and guiding installs in real environments with real clients. You won’t be stuck behind a desk or buried in management tasks. You’ll be hands‑on, side‑by‑side with the team, helping installs move smoothly and setting the standard for quality work.
Your impact will be seen every day in the way our systems are built, in how confident junior techs feel on site, and in how customers experience working with WBM.
What You’ll Do Lead from the Field
Lead and actively participate in commercial AV installs, including meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and enterprise environments
Set the pace onsite and keep installs moving safely, cleanly, and to spec
Be the go‑to person on site when questions come up or decisions need to be made
Build racks, mount hardware, install devices, and complete structured cabling
Install systems according to drawings and documentation –project execution that is clean, accurate, and complete
Troubleshoot onsite issues and keep work progressing without drama
Ensure all installs meet WBM quality standards and manufacturer best practices
Work closely with junior and intermediate technicians during installs
Provide hands‑on coaching, tips, and real‑time problem solving
Reinforce safe work habits, clean installs, and consistent standards
Help create a positive, team‑first job site where people enjoy the work
Project & Integration Support
Support system testing, verification, and basic commissioning tasks
Work closely with project managers, designers, and programmers during deployment
Flag scope gaps, risks, or issues early, communicating details clearly to internal and external stakeholders

Installs are clean, safe, and done right the first time
Projects move smoothly with fewer issues at commissioning and handoff
Junior techs gain confidence and skill working alongside you
Customers feel informed, comfortable, and well‑supported onsite
You’re trusted as a senior installer others turn to for guidance
What You’ll Bring Experience
5–10 years of hands‑on AV installation and integration experience
Experience working on commercial or enterprise AV projects
Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and installation standards
Comfort leading installs and supporting others without formal management responsibilities
Experience with platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Q‑SYS, or similar (certifications are an asset)
Experience installing Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex, or Google Meet hardware
Ability to read and follow AV drawings and installation documentation
