Job descriptionMajor Case Management Information Systems Administrator Overview This position works in the Police – Major Case Management organization unit and involves complex clerical work providing electronic information management services, including business process analysis and workflow planning.
Responsibilities An incumbent facilitates the collection, retrieval, sharing and analysis of investigative material obtained and generated during RCMP criminal investigations; collaborates with others to develop business solutions during the life‑cycle of major cases; exercises considerable independence of judgement and action in non‑routine matters; discusses policy or unusual problems with a superior; and performs related work as required.
Qualifications Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by computer and information management system courses related to the work, plus considerable related experience in a law enforcement environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of the RCMP organization, criminal justice system components (e.g., disclosure, exhibits, court procedures, legislation), and various computer systems and software applications (e.g., MCM, workflow management). Ability to participate in the planning, coordination and delivery of business processes for electronic MCM; monitor program integrity through audit and compliance functions; develop and present training materials appropriate to the intended audience; supervise and check the work of one or more subordinates; and participate in the hiring and performance evaluation of these subordinates. A driver’s license for the Province of British Columbia is required, and the incumbent must obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance.
Schedule 70 hours bi‑weekly; Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (mutual agreement between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
Salary USD $6,127 – 7,209 per month.
