Job description
Elevate your career as the Director of Finance with Northern College, leading financial strategy, accounting accuracy, and budget management in a supportive environment. Engage in meaningful work that directly impacts the College community. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President of Corporate Services, this senior leadership role emphasizes financial management, strategic planning, and operational oversight. You will guide the administration of the College’s budget and capital planning processes. Critical components of this role include risk assessment, procurement oversight, and a strong focus on compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and monitor strategic financial planning processes • Ensure accurate accounting of all College revenues and expenditures • Plan and provide oversight on budget controls • Review program costing and financial analysis for new initiatives • Act as a point of contact for annual financial audits Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, or related fields • CPA designation required • 7+ years in advanced accounting or financial management • Experience supervising staff and navigating union environments • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting systems Make a significant impact through effective financial management at Northern College. #J-18808-Ljbffr
