Job Description TD Securities, the wholesale trading subsidiary of TD Bank, seeks a highly motivated and high‑performing technology professional to join its dynamic technology solution team supporting Global Equity Derivative and Synthetic Prime businesses.

Lead and contribute to the end‑to‑end delivery of applications and frameworks for the GED/Synthetic Prime business, focusing on strategic planning, schedule adherence, scope management, and change and issue resolution.
Design, develop, and enhance system integration layers with Sophis/SwapOne vendor platforms and other proprietary in‑house applications and quantitative analytics libraries.
Enhance trade capture, market data, and lifecycle‑management tools for front‑office sales and trading desks, integrating new products and model enhancements across upstream and downstream technology teams.
Interpret, design, and construct risk and P&L metrics—including vega topographies, gamma ladders, spot/volatility metrics, and correlation sensitivities—for both vanilla and exotic equity derivative products.
Improve performance and scalability of the compute infrastructure through cloud technologies (AKS, RAY), GPU acceleration, and dependency pricing mechanisms.
Develop and maintain a high‑performance, real‑time, scalable trading platform and valuation service for equity derivative products, leveraging microservices and event‑driven architecture.
Provide level‑3 SME support to resolve overnight batch, pricing, P&L, and risk‑valuation issues.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
Advanced qualifications such as a Master’s degree, CFA, FRM, or other industry certifications are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Capital Markets, supporting equity derivatives trading desks across the front‑to‑back spectrum or equivalent exposure to Market Risk or Credit Risk.
Strong knowledge of equity derivatives product offerings and their associated risk profiles.
Proven ability to collaborate with partners across Technology, Front Office, and other stakeholders, applying deep business and technical insight to identify synergies.
Extensive experience delivering presentations to senior executives, engaging them across business and technology sectors regarding high‑profile projects.
Proven track record of leading or managing complex projects successfully.
Ability to proactively identify technical debt and process bottlenecks, leading timely incident resolution.
7+ years working with quantitative development teams to integrate new features or products using modelling and pricing libraries.
Strong understanding of Software Engineering principles and development practices, emphasizing CI/CD and the software development lifecycle.
Proficiency in executing queries and exceptional analytic skills, translating complex requirements for diverse audiences.
Exceptional ability to work independently, make critical decisions under pressure, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
Hands‑on experience developing automation scripts using Python to automate complex data validation and routine administration procedures.
Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), non‑relational databases (MongoDB), REST APIs, GraphQL, and data formats including JSON and XML.
Soft Skills
Strong interpersonal abilities to clearly explain and present concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Expertise in developing and maintaining robust processes aimed at preventing issues, diagnosing problems, and ensuring timely incident resolution while applying quality controls.
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with relationship management capabilities to influence stakeholders and drive consensus on requirements and solutions.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to perform complex analyses and produce detailed reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in multiple programming languages including C#, C++, JavaScript, and others.
Experience implementing vendor cross‑asset trade processing platforms, with Sophis and SwapOne experience considered a significant plus.
Experience with cloud computing, data platforms, delivery pipelines, and analytics.
Benefits and Compensation Base salary ranges from $125,000 to $156,000 CAD, with potential variable compensation based on business and individual performance.
