Job description
Michels Canada is seeking a dedicated Manager for Systems & Assurance in Nisku, AB, to lead safety initiatives and enhance operational compliance. Influence safety performance and drive cultural change across the organization.

This pivotal role focuses on developing and implementing the HSE management system and programs. By partnering closely with operational leadership, you will analyze performance metrics and foster a robust safety culture while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your expertise will play a key role in shaping the management of safety across various projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and lead HSE assurance audits and inspections • Provide strategic oversight on HSE performance metrics • Support proposals with project-specific HSE plans • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems • Maintain the organization’s HSE management documentation

Requirements: • Bachelor’s in a relevant field or equivalent experience • Subject-matter expertise in regulatory compliance • Strong experience in data analysis tools like Power BI • Proven team development and leadership skills • Willingness to travel infrequently
