Job description
Primary Purpose The Marketing & Communications Manager plays a central role in coordinating and executing the marketing and communications initiatives of Adult & Teen Challenge of Central Canada. This position requires a strong written and verbal communicator with graphic design expertise, project management ability, and excellent organizational skills. The manager oversees monthly partner communications, manages social media and website content, maintains marketing templates and brand standards, and ensures consistent, effective messaging across both digital and print platforms. This role works closely with the Marketing Director and other departments to support effective communication across the ministry.

Primary Responsibilities Monthly Partner Letters

Design, write, and send monthly partner letters, ensuring professional presentation and alignment with ATCCC’s message and branding.

Coordinate with departments to gather updates, impact stories, and relevant information.

Manage and maintain mailing lists, ensuring accurate distribution to partners and donors.

Social Media & Online Presence Management

Manage social media platforms by scheduling posts, creating content, and engaging with followers to increase brand awareness.

Ensure ATCCC’s website and Google Business profiles are regularly updated with accurate information, events, and services.

Track analytics and social media performance, providing insights to improve engagement and outreach.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging content and campaigns that align with ATCCC’s mission.

Marketing Operations & Coordination

Manage marketing-related photos, advertisements, and promotional materials for various campaigns and events.

Organize calendars, schedules, and event timelines for the marketing department, ensuring timely execution of tasks.

Coordinate advertising logistics, event promotion, and communication with external vendors.

Marketing Template Updates

Update and maintain marketing templates for employment emails, job ads, graduation templates, certifications, business cards, and other promotional materials.

Design and format marketing materials to ensure consistency with ATCCC’s branding guidelines.

Create visually appealing and effective graphic design elements for both print and digital platforms.

In-House Communications Email

Develop and manage in-house communications emails for staff and partners, ensuring clear, professional, and timely messaging.

Work closely with various departments to ensure all internal and external communications reflect the organization’s values and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities

Provide support in the development and production of newsletters, brochures, and event promotions.

Coordinate marketing meetings by preparing agendas, documenting key decisions, and tracking follow-up action items.

Manage vendor relationships for printing and promotional materials.

Ownership of Marketing and Communications work under the direction of the Marketing Director.

Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Credentials

Post‑secondary education in communications, marketing, or other relevant fields; or a combination of education and experience.

Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and Canva.

Experience in marketing, communications, or project coordination roles.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).

Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).

Experience using Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), including managing pages and supporting or running advertising campaigns through Meta Ads Manager.

Leadership experience is considered an asset.

Experience or interest in nonprofit organizations, addiction recovery, and ministry considered an asset.

Personal Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

Self‑starter, able to identify priorities and pivot as appropriate.

Ability to work collaboratively and a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Adult & Teen Challenge.

Work Environment The position is based in a collaborative office setting, with occasional local travel for events and marketing initiatives. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for major events or campaigns. The work environment reflects the Christ‑centered mission of Adult & Teen Challenge, where staff collaborate in ministry‑focused work that supports individuals on their recovery journey.
