Job description
Become a Strategic Policy Specialist with the City of Delta, focusing on policy development, research, and managing intergovernmental relations for effective governance.

As the Policy Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the Corporate Services department. This includes drafting bylaws, coordinating reports, and facilitating discussions that shape impactful policies. You will communicate effectively with decision-makers and stakeholders to ensure informed decisions and positive outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities: • Support policy research and operational implementation • Draft reports, proposals, and correspondence for council • Analyze data and evaluate policy options effectively • Build relationships with various governmental and non-governmental entities • Oversee and manage numerous complex projects

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree; Master’s preferred in relevant field • Comprehensive knowledge of government and corporate policies • Considerable experience in research and analysis • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Ability to manage consultants and complex files efficiently
