About the job Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Position: Physics PhD Experts (General Relativity, Astrophysics & Cosmology) Type: Contract Compensation: $70–$90/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities Develop high-quality data by creating challenging problems in General Relativity , Astrophysics , and Cosmology . Evaluate the impact of AI models on future innovations in the field. Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure data quality and relevance. Work independently to complete 4-6 tasks per week, each requiring several hours. Follow complex instructions with high attention to detail . Qualifications Must-Have PhD in Physics with specialization in General Relativity, Astrophysics, or Cosmology. Graduate degree from US/UK/Canada/Western Europe . High attention to detail . Exceptional written and verbal communication skills . Excellent proficiency in English . Start Date February ; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
