Job description
About the job Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Headquartered in San Francisco, our investors include Benchmark , General Catalyst , Peter Thiel , Adam D'Angelo , Larry Summers , and Jack Dorsey . Position: Writing Expert Type: Freelance Compensation: $50/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 20+ hours/week Role Responsibilities Design and optimize prompts with multiple constraints and instructions. Conduct model testing and grading by running prompts through models and assessing outputs. Support benchmarking and quality assurance to ensure prompt tasks meet rigor and consistency. Collaborate in QA review processes for integration into official benchmarks. Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance. Qualifications Must-Have Master's or PhD in Physics , Chemistry , Biology , or Math . Strong writing and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Familiarity with ChatGPT or similar tools for academic questions. Use of macOS and/or iOS . Based in US or Canada .
