A day in the life of a Bookkeeper:
- Full accounting cycle, A/P, A/R, basic calculation and reporting for payroll, month end journal entries;
- Preparation or knowledge of financial statements
- Preparation or knowledge of trial balances
- HST/GST: calculations and reporting
- Deduction at Source: calculations and reporting
- Government reporting and filing
- Bank reconciliations
- Filing
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and others:
- University degree or college diploma.
- Accounting or relevant work experience
- 2 to 4 years of relevant bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks skills are a must have as well as knowledge and experience in a variety of software applications including Caseware, Caseview, Tax Prep, MS Office Applications, and Simply Accounting
- Have a self-starter attitude with well-developed time management skills and the commitment to meeting deadlines
- Have proven problem solving capabilities including ingenuity, analytical skills and creativity
- Possess exceptional technical skills and a fine attention to detail
- Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare and clearly present information to our clients and team

The salary range for this position is $48,000–$72,000, and employees may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Compensation complies with applicable pay transparency legislation and is regularly reviewed to stay market competitive. Salaries within the range reflect individual contributions and are based on objective factors such as internal equity, experience, education, role scope, and required skills
