Job description

Title: IT Analyst/Help Desk Support

Location: Vancouver, BC

Duration: 6 months contract

Pay range: $31-$37 per hour


Description:


Insight Global is looking for an Intermediate Technical Analyst to join the IT support team of our marine transportation client, on a 6‑month contract. This role will provide Tier 2 help desk support and serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, including executive‑level users. The ideal candidate combines strong technical fundamentals with exceptional communication, follow‑through, and a service mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 2 help desk and desktop support to internal users, including executive stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft technologies (Teams, Microsoft Admin tools, Windows Server environments)
  • Support guest site users and provide white‑glove, high‑touch service when required
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately and follow through to resolution
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non‑technical users
  • Document issues, solutions, and follow‑up actions accurately
  • Work collaboratively with internal IT teams to support business operations and decision‑making


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a Technical Analyst, Help Desk, or IT Support role
  • Proven Tier 2 help desk experience
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft environments (Teams, Microsoft Admin, Windows/Server basics)
  • Educational background in Computer Science or a related field (BCIT or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
