Role Description We are seeking to add a Project Coordinator with construction experience to the team. This position requires knowledge of design and construction processes, understanding of architectural drawings, and attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists the project manager and superintendent with overall project performance including cost, schedule, safety and quality.
Assists in overall construction coordination, planning and identifying potential risks and resolving field technical issues.
Performs quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting.
Assists with change management and change order process, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impact.
Administers request for information and submittal process.
Assists with overall project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance, and warranty.
Identifies and assists in resolving field technical issues.
Communicate with field staff, suppliers, clients, and contractors to ensure accuracy and efficient productivity
Qualifications and Skills
3+ years of construction industry experience.
Bachelor's/diploma in engineering, construction management, or technology program considered an asset
Knowledge of construction industry including equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, quality, safety, construction sequences and building code.
Ability to learn building envelope systems including materials, practices, and design principles.
Ability to apply problem-solving principles to construction challenges and present solutions
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
Knowledge of software considered an asset, such as: Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Fieldwire, AutoCAD
