Position Overview As an IT Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure across the organization. You will support a hybrid environment spanning on-premises and cloud systems, ensuring that critical business operations remain secure, stable, and scalable.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On-call: rotational support (evenings and weekends) as required to support critical operations
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain identity and access systems, including on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Entra ID, ensuring secure user provisioning, group-based permissions, and file access.
Manage and support network infrastructure and security, including Sophos firewalls, VPNs, WAN routing, VLANs, switching, multi-site connectivity, UniFi environments, and wireless point-to-point links.
Deploy, maintain, and optimize virtualized environments using VMware ESXi and Proxmox, including host systems and guest workloads.
Oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam and Proxmox Backup), including monitoring, restore validation, and disaster recovery testing.
Administer and support server environments, including Windows Server (2019+), Ubuntu, and CentOS, ensuring performance, patching, and security.
Monitor infrastructure health across servers, networks, and backup systems, responding proactively to alerts and incidents.
Develop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and Power Automate to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
Maintain infrastructure governance practices, including change control, documentation, asset management, and vendor coordination.
Support and maintain hybrid IT environments, ensuring reliable integration of legacy and modern systems.
Provide hardware and endpoint support, including deployment and maintenance of workstations, servers, printers, and on-site installations.
Manage print environments, including configuration and troubleshooting of devices, print queues, and drivers.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across infrastructure, including systems, networks, permissions, backups, and applications.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
4–6 years of progressive experience in systems administration
Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Hands‑on experience with networking fundamentals (VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, routing)
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, or similar)
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam)
Experience supporting hybrid environments
Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell preferred)
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Experience in industrial or multi‑site environments
Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Power Automate)
