Descriptif mission Reporting to the VP, Operations, Director of Assembly & Logistics is a senior industrial leader, accountable for the overall performance, robustness, & competitiveness of the Assembly lines (Boeing / Bombardier / Bell) & Logistics (Shipping/Receiving & Stores). The role encompasses Assembly, Assy Planning, Logistics. It is intended for an experienced production leader with previous responsibility for a manufacturing entity. Acting with a Head of Manufacturing mindset, the position combines strong operational ownership, strategic industrial leadership, and people development to secure both short-term delivery and long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Daily Performance Management Ensure full compliance with HSE, regulatory, and customer requirements. Assume full accountability for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, & People (SQCDP) performance of the Assembly lines, Shipping & Receiving (Including Raw Material) and Stores. Lead the activities with Team Leaders, setting clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards. Deploy and sustain robust daily management systems (tiered meetings, escalation, problem-solving). Act as final arbitrator for operational decisions impacting delivery, quality, or capacity. Ensure Raw materials are released on time to the Machine Shop.
Industrial Excellence, Agility & Competitiveness Define and drive ambitious progress plans to improve productivity, quality performance, and cost competitiveness (5S / FOD / Waste elimination etc). Develop an agile and flexible organisation through skills management, versatility, and adaptable staffing models. Strengthen process robustness through standardisation, industrial discipline, and risk-based thinking. Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with site and group industrial strategies.
Assembly Line Ramp-Up & Risk Management Build the structural plan to support the B787 Ramp-up, the MV75 first delivery and LRIP phase and Bombardier recovery to buffer for the scope of work. Build a structured and realistic ramp-up plan covering capacity, resources, competencies, industrial means, and supply chain readiness (With Planners / Proc / PPMs). Lead comprehensive risk identification and assessment (quality, industrial maturity, capacity, skills). Define and deploy mitigation and contingency plans, ensuring proactive risk management. Report risks, and recovery actions to site and program governance.
Strategy, Governance & People Development Contribute actively to site industrial strategy, MTP, capacity planning, and CAPEX roadmap definition. Act as a senior member of the Production leadership team, contributing beyond the perimeter of the assembly line. Develop leaders through coaching, delegation, and succession planning. Foster a strong culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Ensure clear, structured, and transparent communication across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications Proven experience as Head of Manufacturing, Production Manager, or equivalent senior industrial role. Strong background in assembly or complex manufacturing environments. Demonstrated ability to lead large teams through managers in demanding operational contexts. Strong strategic, analytical, and risk management capabilities. Leadership style combining high standards, pragmatism, and people development.
Salary Salary: $138,700 to $173,200
