2026-2027, Fall/Winter Term, Course-Based Opportunities, Department of Psychiatric Nursing (Winnipeg) – Faculty of Health Studies
Achieving a standard of excellence in nursing and psychiatric nursing education demands the efforts of excellent instructors. The Faculty of Health Studies offers four-year programs leading to a Bachelor of Nursing (Brandon) and Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (Brandon and Winnipeg).
The Department of Psychiatric Nursing (Winnipeg campus) is seeking Contract Academic Staff to teach the following courses (in-person) for Brandon University in the 2026/2027 academic year:
Term 1 – Theory:
69:256 Indigenous Health Connections (Monday, 1300-1600) (3 credit hours)
69:359 Psychiatric Nursing of Children & Adolescents (Friday 0900-1200) (3 credit hours)
69:366 Acute Mental Health Challenges (Thursday 0900-1200) (3 credit hours)
Term 2 – Theory:
69:161 Introduction to Interpersonal Communication (Thursday, 0900-1200) (3 credit hours)
**These courses may be delivered in an online synchronous format, but preference will be given to qualified candidates who are able to teach in-person.

Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will hold a graduate degree in nursing or psychiatric nursing with a minimum of five years clinical experience in a related field.
- All candidates must hold current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).
- Recent teaching experience preferred.
Salary: $8,132 per 3 credit hour course
