Support Care Worker

REPORTING TO: Program Manager and Support Team Lead

SUMMARY OF WORK

Support Care Worker will assist guiding clients and families through the admissions process, and providing daily support, encouragement, and care as clients participate in recovery programming. Facilitating group and individual activities that respond to recovery needs. Support care worker will also assist with helping the residents follow the structure within the recovery community.

PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES

• Degree, Diploma or certification in psychology, social work, addictions, nursing, or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in healthcare, addictions recovery, behavioral health, or client admissions is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach.
• Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage both client support and administrative duties.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

SALARY RANGE

• Salary Grid as established by BTDH.
