Fly-in/Fly-out Security Guard – Mine Site – Northwest BC

Join Our Industrial Security Team!We are seeking professional Security Guards to join our team at a remote mining operation in Northwest British Columbia.Successful applicants will provide security services to a remote mining site including, but not limited to, ensuring adherence to site rules, site access, vehicle searches, foot and mobile patrolling, lodge security, assistance with emergency response, and security of the mine area.Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is an ISO31000, ISO9001 and ISO45001 certified company and one of Canada's leading security companies. Our diverse, highly qualified team members and relentless commitment to excellence create superior results for our clients.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining excellent customer service to guests, colleagues, and site workersAccess control/intrusion detection at siteMonitoring site activities, detecting suspicious occurrences and providing detailed written incident reportsMobile and foot patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter checksConducting person, bag, and vehicle searches and checksEmergency response dispatch and intra-team communication via radioPerforming breath tests for alcohol and conducting drug and illegal substance testing as requiredResponding to, de-escalating, and controlling potentially violent encountersMonitoring and controlling vehicle movement within the site, including enforcing speed restrictionsProviding first response in emergencies Recording daily activities, completing access and administrative forms, and issuing or checking security badgesMonitoring access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systemsRequirementsValid British Columbia Security License Valid FULL Class 5 Drivers Licence and acceptable Driver's AbstractValid Standard First Aid with CPR/AED (or willingness to obtain)Exceptional written and spoken English communication skillsWillingness to work both day and night shifts, indoors or outdoors as requiredMust be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test (SSRG will arrange)Must be able to pass criminal record check and credit checkMust be able to lift 50 lbsMust be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including many stairsMust be able to work in cold and hot weather conditionsAdditional InformationFull uniform and PPE provided (boot allowance included) 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation 12-hour shifts Travel to and from site provided from marshalling points located in Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna and Smitherspany Perks$26 per hour (plus overtime pay)Meals and accommodation provided at no cost Health & dental benefits for full-time employeesUp to $1,000 in referral bonuses when your friends join the team Professional Development & Internal Career Growth OpportunitiesA culture of respect and mentorshipReady to Apply?Upload your resume and a cover letter explaining why this role aligns with your goals.
