2026-2027, Fall/Winter Term, Course-Based Opportunities, Department of Psychiatric Nursing (Brandon) – Faculty of Health Studies
Achieving a standard of excellence in nursing and psychiatric nursing education demands the efforts of excellent instructors. The Faculty of Health Studies offers four-year programs leading to a Bachelor of Nursing (Brandon) and Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (Brandon and Winnipeg).
The Department of Psychiatric Nursing (Brandon campus) is seeking Contract Academic Staff to teach the following courses (in-person) for Brandon University in the 2026/2027 academic year:
Term 1 – Theory:
69:251 Principles of Health Assessment (Wednesday & Friday 0830-1030) (3 credit hours)
69:257 Fundamentals of Psychiatric Nursing Practice II (Monday 0830-1030 & Friday 1100-1300) (3 credit hours)
Term 2 – Theory:
69:252 Psychopharmacology (Friday 0830-1130) (3 credit hours)
69:253 Fundamentals of Psychiatric Nursing Practice III (Tuesday 0830-1130) (3 credit hours)
**These courses may be delivered in an online synchronous format, but preference will be given to qualified candidates who are able to teach in-person.

Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will hold a graduate degree in nursing or psychiatric nursing with a minimum of five years clinical experience in a related field.
- All candidates must hold current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).
- Recent teaching experience preferred.
Salary: $8,132 per 3 credit hour course
