Job descriptionA growing, engineering-driven manufacturing organization is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to drive expansion into new industrial markets. This is a high-impact, growth-focused role that blends business development, technical sales, and estimating, with a clear path toward broader commercial leadership. The position focuses on building new market presence while deepening existing relationships, particularly within industrial processing and engineered equipment solutions. What You’ll Do
Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts Establish the organization as a preferred supplier of engineered equipment and complex fabrications Build and manage a diversified sales pipeline with accurate forecasting Develop and execute sales strategies across industrial markets including chemical processing, energy, water and wastewater, hydrogen, and advanced manufacturing Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with manufacturing capabilities Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer requirements into engineered solutions Lead customer meetings, technical discussions, and site visits Build long-term relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and end users Support repeat business through proactive account management Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to develop competitive and executable proposals Provide market insights to support pricing strategies and product development Ensure alignment between customer expectations and production capabilities Partner with marketing to develop sales tools and messaging Support cross-selling across multiple facilities and product lines Contribute to long-term commercial strategy and leadership development What You Bring
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience in technical or engineered product sales Experience within industrial processing, pressure equipment, or custom fabrication environments preferred Strong technical understanding of tanks, vessels, pressure equipment, and mechanical fabrication Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities Strong commercial acumen and understanding of manufacturing economics Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally What’s Offered
