Job descriptionAssociate Director, Student Success Position Summary: Are you a collaborative, experienced leader ready to co‑lead student success initiatives that support engagement, retention and meaningful pathways from entry to graduation? Join us as our new term Associate Director! We are seeking two experienced and collaborative leaders to join the Student Success Centre (SSC) in a shared Associate Director role. This posting is for two (2) part‑time positions (50 % each). Each incumbent will be responsible for a portion of the portfolio while working in close partnership to ensure seamless delivery of services and programs. As lead members of the Student Success Centre team, the Associate Director(s) provide strategic and operational leadership across both the SSC and the Centre for Experiential and Service Learning (CESL). These units play a vital role in supporting student success, retention and progression, helping students connect their academic experiences to meaningful career pathways. Programming is holistic in nature—supporting students academically, socially and professionally from entry through to graduation.
What You’ll Do
Providing leadership and oversight for programs, services and initiatives that support student success, engagement and retention.
Managing and supporting staff, including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
Leading the planning, coordination and evaluation of projects and programming across SSC and CESL.
Collaborating with faculties and campus partners to develop and deliver integrated student supports.
Supporting institution‑wide student success and retention efforts through planning, coordination and data‑informed decision‑making.
Overseeing key student‑facing initiatives, including transition programming, orientation and outreach efforts.
Contributing to strategic planning, communications and continuous improvement of services.
Providing advice, reporting and insights to senior leadership and participating in committees and institutional initiatives.
Be ready to take on additional related tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to this Position
Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
5 years related experience in a post‑secondary student service environment.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills That Will Ensure Your Success
Experience overseeing student staff and volunteers.
Extensive knowledge of University of Regina academic policies and procedures, those in the undergraduate calendar and otherwise.
Human resources functions including management of staff, familiarity with collective agreements, performance management and project planning.
Experience planning large‑scale events.
Experience leading student support programming; teaching in a post‑secondary environment preferred.
Knowledge of academic advising principles; preference given to those with academic advising experience.
Strong grounding in Student Development Theory and best practices in student engagement and retention.
Knowledge of adult learning principles.
Knowledge of the co‑op recruitment cycle.
Experience working in or overseeing a co‑op or career office.
Experience using UR Path, ORBIS, and Career Connect systems.

Physical Demands Extreme multi‑tasking position, which includes long hours of sitting and standing during presentations. Moving tables and boxes during events.
Pay Grade and Salary Pay Grade: APT 8. Salary Range: $89,132 – $120,284 annually.
Work Hours 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some irregular hours/overtime as required.
