Job descriptionSoftware Development Engineer II, SCOT-OSS, Sourcing Performance Organization Want to develop software systems for a team that’s at the center of the supply chain universe? Sourcing Performance, part of Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT), is seeking a software development engineer to design, build, and maintain our critical purchase order and supply chain performance systems.
The Vendor Chargebacks team is part of the Sourcing Performance organization. We build and operate systems that process over 1 million chargebacks per week, managing vendor penalties for supply chain defects across North America and Europe. Our systems ensure vendor compliance and drive improvements in supply chain performance through automated chargeback generation, dispute management, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Design system architecture.
Develop software in an AWS cloud environment.
Enhance our web portals used by thousands of product vendors and internal employees.
Build reliable and scalable systems focused on observability.
Acquire the domain knowledge necessary to understand how Amazon’s supply chain operates to serve our customers.
Invent the next generation of Sourcing Performance services at Amazon to improve the way we source and procure inventory.
Reduce sourcing defects for Earth's most customer‑centric company.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
