Job description
Join the University of Victoria as a Pension Entitlements Officer within Pension Services. Engage directly with plan members while managing pension calculations and program administration effectively.

In this critical role, you will assist the Associate Director in developing and communicating pension services. This position involves individual consultations regarding pension benefits and complex calculations for various plans. You will manage account balances, conduct bank reconciliations, and even present annual retirement seminars.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide consultations on projected and final pension benefits • Calculate pension benefits, including survivor and transferable amounts • Audit monthly bank reconciliations thoroughly • Maintain cumulative distributions and account balances • Develop and present annual retirement planning seminars

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field • Five years of relevant experience in financial environments • Strong analytical skills for complex calculations • Knowledge of Pension Benefits Standards and relevant legislation • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
