IT Director – Warehouse and Inventory Management is accountable for the global strategy, delivery, and sustainment of Saputo’s warehousing technology landscape, with primary ownership of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and closely integrated execution systems. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Transportation, and Regional IT leaders to modernize warehouse operations, enable business transformation, and ensure scalable, resilient solutions across Saputo’s global distribution network. The IT Director provides people leadership, portfolio governance, and technology direction, ensuring SAP EWM solutions align with enterprise architecture, SAP S/4HANA strategy, and Saputo’s operational excellence objectives. This leader acts as the executive escalation point for warehousing solutions and is accountable for value realization, operational stability, and continuous improvement. How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:
Own the global SAP EWM product strategy and roadmap, aligned with Supply Chain and enterprise digital transformation objectives.
Define and enforce global design standards, solution patterns, and governance for warehouse execution across regions.
Ensure SAP EWM solutions are scalable, performant, secure, and compliant with IT architecture and audit requirements.
Act as the primary executive interface for warehousing solutions, communicating status, risks, investments, and outcomes to VP and executive stakeholders.
Lead large-scale, multi-region programs including SAP EWM implementations, DC startups, migrations, and warehouse modernization initiatives.
Oversee end-to-end delivery lifecycle: requirements, solution design, build/configuration, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
Manage program funding, prioritization, dependencies, and resource capacity across internal teams and system integrators.
Ensure alignment and integration with SAP S/4HANA, TM, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and external logistics partners.
Lead and develop a global team of SAP EWM functional leads, solution architects, and IT managers.
Build strong succession plans, skills development paths, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Coach leaders and senior specialists to operate as trusted partners to the business.
Govern integration patterns between SAP EWM and SAP S/4HANA, transportation, and external platforms.
Champion SAP best practices, clean core principles, and sustainable extension strategies.
Ensure data integrity, master data alignment, and end-to-end process visibility across the supply chain.
Own the global sustainment model for warehousing solutions, ensuring operational stability and predictable service levels.
Oversee L3 support, major incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure security, access controls, segregation of duties, and audit readiness (SOX, privacy, compliance).
Qualifications and Experience
15+ years of progressive IT experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions, with 7+ years in SAP warehousing or supply chain execution.
Deep functional and solution expertise in SAP EWM (embedded or decentralized) across inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, and automation integration.
Proven leadership of large, complex SAP programs spanning multiple sites, regions, and business units.
Strong experience in integrating SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA and adjacent supply chain systems.
Demonstrated people leadership experience managing managers, senior specialists, and system integrators.
Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence and align senior business leaders. Experience in Food, Dairy, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries.
Hands-on experience with warehouse automation and material handling system integrations.
Experience operating within a global SAP template and rollout model.
As part of their duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America.
