Job description
Lead the stewardship of lands and resources with Yekooche First Nation from Prince George, BC. This executive role focuses on strategic governance, community engagement, and sustainable development.

As the Director of Lands and Natural Resources, you will report to the Chief Administrative Officer while advancing rights and title through strategic planning and environmental governance. Key objectives include integrating traditional knowledge and effectively managing resources while ensuring long-term community benefits and alignment with cultural laws.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead strategic goals for land and resource management • Provide advisory support for Treaty negotiations • Oversee sustainable practices for lands and water • Develop engagement policies with industry and government • Mentor a multidisciplinary team for effective governance

Requirements: • Degree in natural resources management or related field • 5 to 10 years of progressive management experience • Knowledge of Indigenous governance and stewardship • Experience in community engagement and consultation • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
