Position Summary The incumbent provides end‑to‑end HR support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance management. The role prepares HR documentation, supports employee relations and disciplinary processes in collaboration with union partners, and advises on legislation, collective agreements, and employment contracts. It also delivers workforce data and payroll insights, supports disability case management under the HR Manager, and may maintain payroll accuracy and process bi‑weekly payroll.

Qualifications Education Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, (or related field with Human Resource Management certificate).

Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Demonstrated ability to ensure HR processes and procedures are fully executed promptly

Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and be innovative to enhance operations and functions of the HR department

Demonstrated understanding of oppression, harm‑reduction, and culturally grounded healing

Minimum 1‑2 years’ human resources experience in a unionized environment

Two (2) years of full range benefits management experience required

Experience working in community health, preferably with the communities Mount Carmel Clinic serves

Experience providing human resources support with an intersectional approach

Experience with HRIS / HRMS – implementation of HRIS experience preferred

Critical Skills Proven knowledge and ability in relationship‑building, critical thinking, facilitation, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills

Focus on Results Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus work‑related activities to effectively and efficiently achieve service goals and produce expected results/outcomes

MCC Philosophies Strong knowledge, commitment, and demonstrated ability to apply diversity, equity, cultural safety, pro‑choice, social determinants of health, population health, harm reduction, trauma‑informed, and community development principles in all aspects of the work

Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in the use of computer systems
