As the Technical Lead, You Will
Be trusted and viewed as a technical subject‑matter expert.
Conduct rigorous analysis of product formulation, packaging, and specifications to ensure new formulas and initiatives are fully runnable on production lines and meet efficiency and waste targets.
Leverage deep knowledge of oven functionality, advanced thermal devices, and statistical analysis to maintain centerlines.
Participate in Technical Readiness Level reviews and shape the technical direction of the business.
Lead execution and oversight of Alternative Line Qualifications, providing technical support and troubleshooting for trials.
Ensure meticulous documentation for Commissioning, Qualification and Verification initiatives, covering centerlines, critical process parameters, and critical quality parameters.
Lead strategic projects and process optimization to deliver consumer benefits, quality‑driven projects, and cost savings.
Develop bottom‑up initiatives, technical approaches, plans, deliverables, and timelines for on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
Collaborate globally and regionally with Engineering, R&D, BD, and Quality to deploy robust processes across Mondelēz factories, emphasizing superior consumer experience.
Mentor junior process and quality engineers and manage an intern for a 12‑week summer program to develop future leaders.
Manage a product technician responsible for bar tests and defect measurements.
Shape the technical direction through strong organizational awareness and compelling communication.
Roll out and embed manufacturing standards and capability building, offering advanced training to reduce quality losses.
Drive continuous evolution of foundational skills, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technological advancements.
Act as a senior technical resource in quality management and innovation initiative management pillars, supporting design briefs and critical parameters.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Food Science.
Certifications: Green Belt certification (optional).
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Acumen: Advanced understanding of statistical, modeling, and simulation tools.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritizing and overseeing budgets, risks, and timelines with an action‑oriented approach.
Global Mindset: Experience or strong aptitude for working effectively in a global context.
Influence & Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information, influence stakeholders, and articulate technical gaps and solutions.

Salary and Benefits The expected base salary range for this position is $102,600 to $128,250 CAD, depending on experience, skills, education, and budget. The position also offers a competitive bonus program with a target of 14%, with potential for overachievement.
