Job descriptionAbout the Opportunity If you’re a self‑starter who enjoys problem‑solving and applying your technical experience to create impactful solutions, our growing IT team is looking for an ERP Specialist.
You should thrive in a collaborative environment, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and improve the end‑user experience.
Test future ERP system releases in a sandbox environment and support implementation.
Perform technical tasks such as data migrations, data analysis, configuration, and administration.
Support the maintenance of production and sandbox ERP systems, including verifying backups and assisting with updates and patches of related platforms (databases, servers).
Create, update, and maintain T‑SQL scripts to support reporting needs and enhance ERP functionality.
Act as a point of contact for users and with ERP support to report and resolve issues.
Support staff in effective use of ERP systems through day‑to‑day assistance, troubleshooting, and guidance.
Facilitate training sessions and create reference materials to build user confidence and capability.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to leverage ERP and its data.
Support a diverse user group with varying technical needs and levels of experience.
Travel across Western Canada as required.
About You Our ideal candidate brings experience with software configuration, data loading, and system testing, and enjoys collaboration with IT professionals to maintain and enhance existing systems.
Related education in Computer Science or a Technology program, and/or 5+ years of experience with web‑based application design or development.
Working knowledge of basic computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
A strong sense of curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
Experience scripting in T‑SQL and PowerShell; familiarity with other scripting languages is considered an asset.
Experience with ERP software (e.g., Deltek VantagePoint, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP) is considered an asset.
Strong customer service mindset and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Experience supporting end users (in person, by phone, chat, or email).
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing, time‑sensitive demands.
Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
Project coordination or project management experience is considered an asset.
