Job descriptionRAVL helps technologists accelerate their careers. At RAVL, we connect strategy with execution, care deeply about the people we work with, and measure success by the lasting impact we leave behind. Our purpose is to build a team that puts real, sustainable business outcomes at the core of everything we do. We're here to leave our clients better than we found them, and to create a place where our people are proud to Build. Better. As an AI Solution Architect at RAVL, you'll shape AI use cases from idea through scoped delivery across a major financial services client's enterprise AI portfolio. You'll define solution architectures, drive platform consolidation, and navigate enterprise governance – translating business intent into technically sound, production‑ready designs. You'll work embedded alongside client stakeholders, bringing deep knowledge of Microsoft Foundry, modern AI/ML patterns, and the pragmatism to make things real in a regulated environment.
What does success look like in this role?
Define end-to‑end solution architectures for AI use cases across a financial services enterprise, from use case shaping through solution‑on‑a‑page delivery
Provide L1 estimates and right‑size technical approaches to client constraints, timelines, and platform capabilities
Drive platform consolidation by identifying reuse opportunities across lines of business and rationalizing overlapping tooling
Design and document integration patterns using Microsoft Foundry and its component services – Document Intelligence, Content Understanding, Azure OpenAI Service, and Foundry Models
Navigate enterprise governance including responsible AI forums, cloud onboarding processes, and security/compliance review gates
Translate business requirements into decomposed, estimatable backlogs that engineering teams can build against
Embed with client solution architects and delivery teams, operating as a trusted technical authority from day one
Produce technical artifacts – architecture diagrams, integration maps, decision records – that drive alignment across business and technology stakeholders
Identify and mitigate architectural risks early, proposing mitigations before they become delivery blockers
At higher levels: shape AI strategy across the portfolio, influence platform direction, and mentor junior architects and engineers
Great, do my skills fit?
Strong architecture skills across Microsoft Foundry and its Foundry Tools – Document Intelligence, Content Understanding, Azure OpenAI Service, Foundry Models, Foundry IQ
Hands‑on experience designing AI/ML solution architectures in enterprise environments, ideally financial services
Deep understanding of document processing pipelines, including OCR, classification, extraction, and enrichment patterns
Experience with LLM integration patterns – prompt engineering, RAG architectures, fine‑tuning workflows, and guardrails
Proficiency with Python for prototyping, proof‑of‑concept development, and pipeline scripting
Solid grasp of API design, microservices, and event‑driven architectures in cloud‑native environments
Experience working within enterprise governance frameworks – responsible AI, model risk management, cloud onboarding, security review
Strong understanding of data integration patterns across multiple lines of business and legacy systems
Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps tooling – CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, model deployment and monitoring
Knowledge of identity, encryption, RBAC, and secrets management in regulated cloud environments
Experience producing architecture decision records, solution‑on‑a‑page documents, and integration diagrams for senior stakeholders
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with engineering, business analysis, and executive sponsors
Clear written communication skills for technical documentation, governance submissions, and stakeholder briefings
Mindset Traits
Delivery‑first and outcome‑oriented (get‑shit‑done mentality)
Creative and open to new approaches in AI architecture and platform design
Comfortable working in ambiguity and shaping clarity from loosely defined business problems
Influential presence: able to shape direction as a trusted outsider in client environments
Operates as a high‑performing remote consultant, ensuring work is visible, transparent, and uplifting to peers
Demonstrates RAVL's higher performance bar: curiosity, delivery excellence, emotional awareness, and adaptability
Non‑Negotiables – Required Technical Skills
Microsoft Foundry and Foundry Tools (Document Intelligence, Azure OpenAI Service, Content Understanding – hands‑on, not theoretical)
AI/ML solution architecture in enterprise or regulated environments
Python (prototyping, pipeline development, proof‑of‑concept work)
LLM integration patterns (RAG, prompt engineering, guardrails, evaluation)
Enterprise governance navigation (responsible AI, cloud onboarding, security review)
API and integration design (REST, event‑driven, microservices)
Security fundamentals: IAM, RBAC, encryption, secrets management
Technical documentation: solution‑on‑a‑page, architecture decision records, integration maps
Candidates missing these will not be considered further.
