Job description
Be the catalyst for change at the Alma Mater Society as the Indigenous Initiatives Lead. Foster dialogue, education, and resources for Indigenous students while promoting equity and social justice on campus.

As the Indigenous Initiatives Lead, your role will be pivotal in developing initiatives to support Indigenous students' community and wellness. You will create educational campaigns and facilitate meaningful engagement surrounding Indigeneity, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders for reconciliation. This position requires a dedication to fostering a respectful environment and adhering to policies that uplift the Indigenous community.

Key Responsibilities: • Host community-building events and programming for Indigenous students • Create outreach campaigns to raise awareness on Indigenous issues • Collaborate with stakeholders for decolonization initiatives • Serve as an AMS delegate on various Indigenous councils • Attend training and adhere to department operations

Requirements: • Strong analytical and planning skills • Maintain regular office hours • Communicate effectively with supervisors • Uphold AMS mission and ethical standards • Respect and support Indigenous student initiatives
