The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts receivable. As part of their duties, they will be responsible for recording revenue from new issuances and monitoring deposits for our Fixed Income team. In addition, they will be responsible for supporting the Institutional Services team with invoicing and payment follow-ups. Finally, they will also support the Capital Markets Finance team with various weekly and monthly tasks.
The Accounting Department is responsible for producing accurate financial information that serves as the basis for financial reporting and the preparation of regulatory reports.

Responsibilities - Ensure the accounting and monitoring of deposits related to new issuances, in collaboration with the Fixed Income team.
- Ensure the accounting and tracking of deposits related to invoicing for Institutional Services clients.
- Perform the weekly accounting of prepaid expenses related to settled invoices.
- Manage the accounting of Laurentian Bank Securities (LBS) payroll, as well as month-end employee-related accruals, including vacation provisions.
- Prepare accounting entries and analyze assigned General Ledger accounts.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Participate with the team in the review, documentation, and continuous improvement of processes.
- Monitor the department’s shared email inbox and respond promptly to inquiries and requests for information.
- Verify the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of work while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal and external audit standards.
- Stay informed of laws, policies, and procedures related to products and services applicable to the business lines.
Qualifications - College diploma in Accounting and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.
- Bilingualism* (French and English), both oral and written.
- Knowledge of securities and the financial services industry is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment with very tight deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of the Dynamics GP accounting system is an asset.
*Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
