The opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic Technical Lead who can also manage programs and govern multiple teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of their tasks.
Your key responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing adherence to processes and standards, reviewing architecture, and providing constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
This role requires strong technical expertise to guide teams in debugging complex issues and hands‑on ability to resolve critical problems when needed. The candidate will manage B2B integration consumers and collaborate closely with stakeholders in the financial services domain, with a solid understanding of banking standards.
The Technical Lead should be proficient in AWS, Java, API development, microservices architecture, and integration technologies. Excellent communication skills, innovative thinking, and familiarity with AI tools to enhance productivity and problem‑solving are essential.
Must Have
Proven experience as a Technical Lead with program management and governance responsibilities.
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple teams, ensuring adherence to processes, standards, and delivery timelines.
Strong skills in architecture review, providing feedback and driving necessary changes.
Hands‑on expertise in debugging complex technical issues and guiding teams through problem resolution.
Experience managing B2B integration consumers and understanding of integration patterns.
Solid knowledge of the financial services domain and banking standards.
Technical proficiency in AWS, Java, API development, microservices architecture, and integration technologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Innovative mindset with experience using AI tools to improve development and operational efficiency.
Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
Good to Have
Experience with cloud‑native architectures and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Prior experience in mentoring and coaching technical teams.
Knowledge of security standards and compliance in financial services.
Exposure to emerging technologies and AI/ML framework
Ideally, you’ll also have
Bachelor's degree plus 6 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience).
Relevant professional certifications.
Ability to quickly learn new programming languages and frameworks.
Balance, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks.
Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations.
Apply creative solutions to challenging problems and ensure business needs are met effectively.
Build strong working relationships with other teams both inside and outside the organization.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
Managers for Vancouver and Toronto $110,000 to $160,000
Managers for Victoria: $99,000 to $149,000
