Senior Director, Strategy & Marketing
to own its strategic agenda, turn insight into growth, lead M&A activity, and further develop the marketing and strategy function around a talented and ambitious team. London, Ontario is the base — the impact is global.
Position Summary Trojan Technologies designs, manufactures and sells UV disinfection and micro‑filtration solutions that span a broad range of municipal, industrial and residential water treatment systems.
Based in London, Ontario (or able to relocate) allowing on-site working 3 days a week at our HQ, the Senior Director, Strategy & Marketing is responsible for driving enterprise‑wide strategic planning and ensuring the successful execution of initiatives that fuel global commercial growth. This leader partners closely with the President, the Trojan Leadership Team, and Veralto stakeholders to define, refine, and activate the company’s strategic agenda while generating actionable insights and executing initiatives that fuel Trojan’s long‑term growth.
The role oversees strategic planning, M&A, market intelligence, vertical marketing, branding & demand generation, and regulatory. The role requires strong cross‑functional alignment to ensure that developed strategies, insights, and campaigns are effectively utilized throughout the Trojan organization, including long‑term planning, product management & innovation, sales & channel management, and more.
The Senior Director fosters cross‑functional alignment, provides thought leadership, and embeds a culture of disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. This existing role reports to the President and is a member of the leadership team.
What You’ll Own People & Culture:
Lead a multi‑level team, developing managers and building a high‑performing, collaborative culture. Own talent pipelines, resource planning, and budget across all marketing and strategy functions and drive continuous improvement leveraging the Veralto Enterprise System (VES).
Strategic Leadership:
Drive Trojan's annual strategic planning process, define long‑term growth priorities, and build executive‑ready deliverables for Veralto's senior leadership. Translate strategy into action across organic growth, partnerships, and M&A.
Mergers & Acquisitions:
Oversee Trojan's inorganic growth funnel — from market cultivation and strategic assessment through to due diligence and integration — working closely with the President and Veralto Corporate Development.
Market Intelligence & Insights:
Lead the development of competitive intelligence, customer insights, market sizing, and VOC analysis that inform strategic decisions and keep Trojan ahead of market shifts.
Vertical Marketing:
Guide managers in building 1–3‑year vertical market strategies grounded in primary and secondary research, ensuring tight alignment across sales, innovation, product management, and commercial planning.
Brand & Demand Generation:
Oversee brand strategy, communications, PR, and content — driving global campaigns that accelerate demand, sharpen differentiation, and strengthen Trojan's market presence.
Regulatory Strategy:
Ensure Trojan proactively monitors and responds to evolving water regulations, maintaining alignment between regulatory developments and business priorities.
What You’ll Bring
Based in or willing to relocate to London, Ontario, and comfortable with up to 40% travel across North America and internationally
10+ years of senior experience in strategy, marketing, or commercial leadership within complex B2B industrial organisations – water industry background a strong advantage
Proven ability to operate at the enterprise level, including M&A, strategic planning, and executive stakeholder management
Deep expertise in vertical and strategic marketing, with a track record of turning market insight into commercial growth
Exceptional people leadership – specifically, a demonstrated ability to develop and elevate high‑potential talent, not just manage structure
Global experience, leading or working across international markets
Strong analytical and financial acumen – comfortable building business cases and presenting to senior leadership
MBA or advanced degree in marketing preferred; Bachelor's degree required
