Potential start date: early to mid/June 2026.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial sustainability models, incorporating cash flow scenarios and infrastructure projections.
Design and maintain sophisticated financial models and dashboards for scenario-based planning and decision support.
Analyze and interpret financial and non-financial data to provide strategic recommendations, ensuring performance aligns with organizational goals.
Act as a strategic finance partner to department heads, providing data-driven insights on resource allocation, investment cases, and spending discipline.
Develop and monitor organizational and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and efficiency.
Translate complex financial data into clear, compelling presentations for executives and the Board, including variance analysis and management commentary.
Champion continuous improvement in all financial planning & analysis (FP&A) processes, reporting tools, and templates to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial literacy across the organization.
Manage and optimize BOF’s financial data infrastructure, including the enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and Loan/Asset Management Systems.
Build and manage robust cost allocation and funding models aligned with BOF’s funding envelope.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation (attained or in progress).
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including proven experience leading enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning processes.
Experience with ERP systems implementation or optimization preferred, but not required.
Experience with financial planning systems preferred, but not required.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of PSAS and public sector budgeting and funding models.
Familiarity with ASPE/IFRS preferred, but not required.
Strong financial modeling skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex financial data into clear, compelling presentations for executives and the Board.
Excellent interpersonal skills to champion continuous improvement, efficiency, accuracy and financial literacy across the organization.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, synthesize data, and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively, lead change, and train non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency with Power BI preferred, but not required.
