We are currently seeking a Senior Project Accountant for our Toronto Studio.

Base Pay Range CA$65,000.00 / yr – CA$100,000.00 / yr

Job Summary The Senior Project Accountant provides advanced support for project and corporate accounting processes, including billing, expense reconciliation, project setup, and financial analysis. This role also trains staff in ERP systems and ensures alignment with financial controls and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review and reconcile employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.

Support mid‑month and month‑end EFT processing and cash flow management.

Set up new projects in ERP system; ensure accuracy in billing and financial tracking.

Assist with financial statement preparation and internal financial reporting.

Provide financial analysis and support forecasting and budgeting efforts.

Ensure all work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.

Team Collaboration and Training

Collaborate with Project Managers on project metrics and profitability analysis.

Lead ERP onboarding and training for new staff.

Support leadership and CFO with ad‑hoc analyses and reporting.

Participate in a fully in‑office environment to support team effectiveness and responsiveness.

Required to work in a collaborative, 100% in‑office environment to support direct team engagement and effective cross‑functional coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

5–10 years of project accounting experience; A/E or professional services background preferred.

Proficiency in ERP systems (Deltek Ajera, Vantagepoint preferred).

Strong financial analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
