This senior leadership role is responsible for enterprise level sales and long‑term partnership development, expanding CPA Ontario’s presence within key organizations, and positioning the organization as a trusted partner in professional learning.

As part of the Professional Development team, the Director, Corporate Partnerships will identify and cultivate new corporate relationships, build credibility with senior finance, HR, and learning leaders, and champion CPA Ontario’s full portfolio of learning solutions including seminars, certifications, and innovative development pathways that support workforce capability and career progression.

Operating at the intersection of industry, regulation, and professional learning, the Director will design and scale partnerships that enable organizations to upskill their workforce while aligning with evolving standards, compliance expectations, and emerging business needs.

Your expertise empowers you to:

Develop and execute an enterprise partnership and sales strategy

targeting medium to large sized employers across priority sectors, owning the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to close.

Design, commercialize, and scale innovative enterprise partnership models

including subscriptions, cohort‑based programs, customised learning pathways, and large‑scale workforce development initiatives – to drive sustainable revenue growth.

Build and manage senior level relationships

with employers, industry associations, sector councils, and ecosystem partners to expand reach, impact, and workforce development outcomes.

Identify and deliver revenue‑generating opportunities

Lead and develop a team , providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management while scaling people, processes, and the partnership portfolio in line with business growth.

Position CPA Ontario as a preferred professional development partner

by articulating a compelling employer value proposition grounded in professional standards, practitioner‑led expertise, and regulatory credibility.

Partner with other internal stakeholders

within the Professional Development and Product teams to align employer‑relevant learning solutions and enterprise offerings with market needs, customer insights, and regulatory standards.

Support the development of differentiated learning solutions

that maintain professional integrity while competing effectively with large digital learning platforms.

You are the ideal candidate if:

Education and Experience:

You hold an undergraduate degree or diploma in business or a related field, with 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, business development, or corporate relationship management, and a proven ability to build complex, high‑value relationships. You bring strong commercial acumen, including experience in proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract management, and can translate employer needs into solution‑based offerings within Continuing Professional Development or Continuing Education environments.

Preferred candidates have experience positioning offerings against digital learning platforms or large‑scale learning providers, along with familiarity in accounting, finance, or other regulated professional settings. Experience developing enterprise learning solutions – such as subscription‑based, cohort‑driven, or multi‑year partnerships – is highly valued. A CPA designation, or experience working closely with CPAs or finance professionals, is considered an asset but not required.

Proven skills and abilities:

Results:

You have proven success closing complex, enterprise‑level agreements with mid to large‑sized organizations. You are driven and comfortable in growth‑focused environments, with a consultative, relationship‑led sales approach.

Leadership:

You are effective in multistakeholder environments, with executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders. Highly collaborative and effective at working cross‑functionally with internal teams and external partners to align solutions with business objectives and drive results.

Resilience:

You have a proven ability to drive multiple projects forward with a relentless focus on delivery. You are able to navigate issues and gain support without adversely affecting timelines and outcomes.

Communications Skills:

You are a strong communicator capable of synthesizing complex issues and conveying information to all levels of internal and external stakeholders, senior management teams, and partners in a clear and concise manner. You serve effectively as the face of the organization.

Integrity:

You are known for integrity and sound business judgment, with a reputation for being open, ethical, transparent, and trustworthy.

Salary Range:

The starting annual salary for this position is between

$129,600 and $162,100

per annum, based on candidates’ qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.

This role requires frequent travel within Ontario – mostly in the greater Toronto area – and access to a vehicle for business travel and a valid driver’s license.
