Since 1972, JAM has grown to be one of the largest distributors of consumer electronic goods, pro-audio equipment, and musical instruments. Come join us to stay true to our mission of delivering ONLY the best customer service!
Summary: Internships at JAM Industries offer students hands‑on experience with a creative, fun, and hard‑working team. At JAM we believe in music and enjoy our role in bringing it to life. As JAM Industries continues to grow, it needs motivated interns in all areas of our company. JAM Industries summer intern program includes a meaningful summer project, a series of career training workshops, and contact with senior leaders. This is a full‑time, paid internship in our Montreal headquarters office that will run from roughly May/June through July/August, depending on student availability. The core learning program will run for 8 weeks.
What you will do in this role: During the internship, the candidate will gain a comprehensive understanding of how a Finance function operates within a dynamic organization, with a specific focus on FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) processes and workflows.
The intern will work closely with multiple team members across FP&A, allowing them to develop strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills. A key objective will be to document existing processes, files, and recurring tasks, helping to create clear and standardised documentation. This will provide the intern with valuable exposure to financial planning cycles, reporting structures, and business decision‑making. In addition, the intern will be encouraged to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the automation of selected reports and files. Through this, the intern will develop practical skills in data analysis, problem‑solving, and efficiency optimisation.
The intern will lead a project focused on documenting and improving key FP&A processes.
