Job description

About Themis Intelligence

Themis Intelligence builds the Utility Knowledge Base (UKB) and Human-Guided Intelligence (HGI) platforms, redefining how utilities operate.

Our systems transform complex operational data into clear, high-confidence decisions. We design software that empowers grid professionals to think faster, act decisively, and operate with precision in critical environments. Every product we ship is built for real-world performance: reliable, observable, and secure from day one.

We are an AI-first organization, continuously applying modern tools and workflows to improve how we plan, execute, and deliver outcomes.

About the Role

As a Product Lead at Themis Intelligence, you will own specific product areas and drive them from concept through delivery. You will operate at the intersection of customers, market needs, and engineering—ensuring we are building the right things and moving quickly toward meaningful outcomes.

This is a hybrid role balancing strategy and execution. You will own the roadmap for your area and work closely with leadership and engineering leads to define priorities, make trade-offs, and maintain momentum.

You will operate in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where requirements evolve quickly. You are expected to balance speed with quality—moving decisively while maintaining clear, actionable outputs.

You are expected to actively leverage AI tools to improve how product work is done: accelerating discovery, refining requirements, and enabling faster, more informed decision-making.

Given the size of the team, you will also contribute beyond traditional product responsibilities, supporting customer engagement, sales activities, and internal alignment as needed.

In this role, you will

  • Own product areas end-to-end, including roadmap, priorities, and delivery outcomes
  • Translate customer needs, market signals, and business objectives into clear, actionable requirements and user stories
  • Structure and maintain product documentation, requirements, and knowledge in Notion, which serves as the primary source of truth for product work
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate discovery, synthesize feedback, refine requirements, and improve decision-making
  • Lead customer engagement, including discovery conversations, feedback collection, and validation of use cases
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product direction and prioritization
  • Work closely with engineering leads to define scope, evaluate trade-offs, and support effective execution
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritization in alignment with leadership and engineering
  • Engage actively with sales, supporting demos, customer conversations, and product positioning
  • Continuously refine product direction based on customer feedback, usage insights, and market changes
  • Build working knowledge of products, customer environments, and industry context
  • Contribute to improving product management workflows and practices across the team
  • Operate with flexibility across both deep and broad product areas, adapting based on product needs
  • Operate effectively in a small team environment, stepping in where needed

You might thrive in this role if you

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Have 5–8 years of product management or related experience
  • Can balance strategy and execution, moving from idea to delivery effectively
  • Are strong at customer discovery and translating user needs into clear product requirements
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with customers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Are comfortable making trade-offs and prioritization decisions in fast-moving environments
  • Have solid technical fluency (APIs, systems, data flows) without needing to be a developer
  • Are adaptable—able to work both deeply in specific areas and broadly across evolving priorities
  • Are organized, structured, and able to produce clear, actionable outputs
  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Notion AI) to improve how you work
  • Are motivated to continuously improve how product decisions and workflows are executed

Bonus

  • Experience in utilities, energy systems, or industrial software
  • Experience working in AI, data, or analytics-driven products
  • Familiarity with Notion as a primary workspace for product documentation and knowledge management
  • Experience in early-stage or fast-moving startup environments

What success looks like

  • Product areas are clearly defined, structured, and progressing with momentum
  • Requirements are well-formed, actionable, and aligned with customer and business needs
  • Customer feedback is actively incorporated into product decisions
  • Product direction reflects strong awareness of market and competitive dynamics
  • Engineering and product are aligned, enabling efficient execution
  • AI tools are used effectively to improve speed, clarity, and decision-making
  • Product management becomes more structured, scalable, and aligned with how Themis operates

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role (four days in-office) reporting directly to the President. The salary range for this role is $70,000–$100,000. Interested candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume.

Themis Intelligence values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of all races, color, creed, ancestry, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, religion, national origin, citizenship status, disability, marital status, family status, and those with disabilities to apply. We use AI tools to help streamline parts of our recruitment process, but every application is reviewed by a member of our team. Themis is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing accommodations for persons with disabilities. If you require accommodation, we will work with you to meet your needs. While we appreciate the interest of all applicants, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
