Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure (“CC&L Infrastructure”) is seeking an Analyst to join our dynamic Infrastructure Investment business for an existing vacancy to support our continued expansion. As a member of a collaborative, highly-motivated and performance-driven team, you will support the acquisition of new investments through financial modelling, conducting due diligence, identifying key risks and mitigants, and preparing investment analysis and recommendations. You will also play a key role in the structuring and execution of debt financing initiatives in support of new investments. The role is expected to be exciting and dynamic, with the opportunity to grow into additional responsibilities while working within an entrepreneurial environment. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in four days office and one remote working day throughout the week.
What You Will Do
Evaluate infrastructure investment opportunities: perform financial analysis, identify risks and make investment recommendations;
Build and review complex cash flow valuation models, with flexibility to run various scenarios, test assumptions and perform sensitivity analysis;
Conduct due diligence and manage 3rd party vendors (legal, accounting, technical, environmental); assist with overall deal execution;
Monitor financial and operational performance of existing investments; assist in performing on-going valuation and monitoring potential exit alternatives;
Collaborate with an experienced team of professionals to manage project deliverables;
Presentation of investment materials and memorandums to internal and external groups.
What You Bring
A consistent record of academic excellence in a degree or discipline that requires strong quantitative skills, including finance, accounting, engineering, math etc.;
A highly proactive approach; initiative, work ethic, problem solving, drive and intellectual curiosity are key attributes;
Strong judgement, attention to detail and a desire to excel are essential to success;
Ability to work efficiently/effectively under tight timelines, on multiple projects;
Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to present ideas in a clear, concise and persuasive fashion;
Strong technical skills, including financial modelling and experience with excel;
0-3 yrs. work experience – infrastructure investing, private equity, investment banking, accounting/advisory, engineering.
The salary range for this position is $95,000-$100,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is a discretionary annual performance bonus which may represent a significant proportion of total compensation for this position.
