About Us The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (Elections Ontario) is an independent, non‑partisan office of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, responsible for administering provincial elections, by‑elections, and referenda.

Job Summary The Communications division is seeking an experienced professional to manage public inquiries by phone and email, and provide accurate, consistent information in accordance with established processes. The role requires exercising sound judgment to assess and triage complex matters and to coordinate escalations with stakeholders to ensure effective resolution.
Responsibilities
Manage public inquiries by delivering accurate, consistent information using approved resources and protocols.
Assess, triage, and document inquiries, escalating complex issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Coordinate follow‑ups with subject‑matter experts and/or stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of escalated matters within service level agreements (SLAs).
Maintain accurate inquiry records to support reporting, trend analysis and service‑level compliance.
Identify and report emerging trends to support operational planning and continuous improvement.
Support divisional activities including research, preparation of materials, and other assigned tasks.
Collaborate with team members and provide cross‑functional support where required.
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience managing public inquiries and providing clear, concise responses across phone and email channels.
Demonstrated ability to assess issues, exercise sound judgment and elevate matters using established processes.
Knowledge of inquiry‑handling practices including service level agreements (SLAs) and protocols.
Experience using digital tools and systems to document, track and monitor inquiries.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while managing competing priorities.
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Work Environment The successful candidate will be required to work in‑office five days per week and may be required to work evenings and weekends depending on operational needs.
