Job descriptionA Staff Technical Project Manager (TPM) will lead large, cross‑functional delivery initiatives within Infoblox's Engineering organization in Burnaby, Canada, reporting to a Director level leader. The role focuses on orchestrating planning and execution, delivering complex technical solutions, and ensuring high‑quality outcomes on time and within scope.
Program and SRT Leadership
Lead and manage large‑scale technical projects, applying Agile methodologies and best practices from initiation to delivery
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and teams, ensuring alignment with business and customer outcomes
Develop and maintain comprehensive delivery plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies including task assignments, milestones, dependencies, and timelines
Identify and manage program or practice increment (PI) risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation plans to safeguard delivery success
Coordinate and facilitate cross‑functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
Agile Delivery and Ceremonies
Facilitate and participate in key Agile events including PI planning, pre/post planning, Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshops, and Scrum of Scrums, ensuring they are outcome focused and data‑informed
Partner with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering leads, and Architecture to prioritize work, manage cross‑team dependencies, and optimize flow and throughput across teams
Ensure that testing, validation, and quality assurance activities are planned and executed effectively in collaboration with QA and release engineering teams
Delivery Excellence, Metrics, and Risk Management
Monitor PI and program progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders, senior management, and governance forums
Establish, refine, and socialize a metrics framework for your programs (e.g., predictability, throughput, cycle/lead time, dependency lead time, risk burndown, defect and incident trends, release quality) and use it to guide prioritization, trade‑off decisions, and risk management
Build and maintain dashboards and scorecards that tie delivery data to business and customer outcomes, supporting executive reviews and governance processes
Ensure that products and features are delivered on time and in scope while maintaining high quality standards and adhering to architectural, security, and compliance guidelines
Continuous Improvement and Transformation
Lead or co‑lead Inspect & Adapt workshops, post‑project reviews, and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and identify process, tooling, and cross‑team improvements
Use quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to diagnose systemic issues, validate hypotheses about bottlenecks, and measure the impact of process changes over time, ensuring continuous improvement backlogs are explicitly tied to metric movement (e.g., improved predictability, fewer carryovers, better flow efficiency)
Stakeholder Collaboration, Influence, and Mentorship
Work day‑to‑day with multiple organizations within Engineering and often outside Engineering (e.g., Product Management, Sales, Marketing, IT), providing clear, data‑driven updates and facilitating cross‑functional decisions
Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for other TPMs and senior engineers on Agile delivery practices, metrics, and scaled Agile execution, helping them grow their skills and impact

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages and metric‑driven narratives to audiences ranging from engineers to executives
