Program Overview Shift Change is a project of the YWCA Halifax focused on growing the participation and representation of women and gender diverse people in the skilled trades industries of Nova Scotia, including Construction, Automotive and Industrial Manufacturing. We envision industries where women and gender diverse people can safely grow careers in the skilled trades. Shift Change works to change workplace cultures so all can thrive on the job and in industry. Shift Change works with partners to learn together and activate change. With supplemental funding and a one-year extension, Shift Change will expand and deepen its community-based research and knowledge mobilization activities to strengthen sector-wide capacity to prevent and respond to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the skilled trades in Nova Scotia.
