We are partnering with a privately held, multi-entity construction and infrastructure organization to recruit an Executive Vice President, Finance. Reporting directly to the President, this role will lead financial strategy, capital planning, and corporate finance activities across a complex and evolving platform.
This is a highly visible role at the center of the business, with direct involvement in strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, and investment decisions.
OPPORTUNITY This is not a traditional finance leadership role. The EVP, Finance will play a central role in shaping the future of the organization, supporting expansion, evaluating opportunities, and driving enterprise value.
You will work closely with ownership and executive leadership on capital allocation, deal activity, and long-term strategy, while ensuring the finance function can scale alongside the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic & Corporate Finance Leadership
Act as a key advisor to the President on strategy, growth, and value creation
Lead financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluation
Support and lead M&A activity, including financial due diligence, valuation, and integration planning
Structure and support joint ventures, partnerships, and complex project financing arrangements
Participate in capital strategy, including debt, equity, and long-term investment planning
Capital Management & External Relationships
Lead relationships with lenders, bonding providers, and financial partners
Support negotiations related to financing, partnerships, and major project opportunities
Optimize capital deployment across operating divisions and projects
Financial Operations & Performance
Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and shared services functions
Drive visibility into performance through improved reporting, KPIs, and analytics
Strengthen working capital management, cash flow, and financial discipline across the business
Systems & Process Transformation
Lead modernization of finance systems, reporting, and workflows
Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and scale financial operations
Improve integration across business units in a multi-entity environment
Leadership & Team Development
Build and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting growth and complexity
Establish accountability, structure, and consistency across the finance function
Partner closely with operations and other business leaders to drive alignment and execution
EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
Experience in construction, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive/project-based environments
Strong experience in corporate finance, including M&A, deal structuring, and complex project environments
Experience working in privately held or entrepreneurial businesses
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on
Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities
