Job description
Assume the critical role of Chief Mine Engineer, delivering senior technical leadership for underground salt mining. Foster a culture of safety and efficiency in mining activities while driving engineering excellence.

As an experienced leader, you will oversee mine planning processes and ensure regulatory compliance across operations. This role requires collaboration with various teams to align engineering objectives with production needs while focusing on continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in soft rock mining will be essential in implementing effective strategies.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead all phases of life-of-mine planning and forecasts • Develop mining designs and extraction methodologies • Ensure compliance with mining legislation and safety standards • Supervise contractors and ground control initiatives • Act as a technical authority during regulatory reviews

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or similar • P.Eng. in Ontario or eligibility required; 8+ years relevant experience • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations • Outstanding leadership and communication skills • Ability to navigate safety and production objectives effectively.
