About the Role
The Director, Treasury & Investment Services is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the University’s treasury operations and investment portfolios in support of Western’s academic, research, and service priorities. Reporting to the AVP, Financial Services, the Director provides expert leadership in investment accounting and reporting, cash and liquidity management, debt administration, and financial risk management.
In this role, you will lead the effective and efficient operation of Western’s treasury and investment services, ensuring the accurate recording, reporting, and stewardship of approximately $3.7 billion in assets under management, including endowment and non‑endowment portfolios, short‑term investments, and debt facilities. You will work closely with internal partners, external investment managers, custodians, auditors, and banking partners to support informed decision‑making, financial sustainability, and institutional resilience.
Balancing strategic insight with operational leadership, the Director translates complex financial information into clear, decision‑useful reporting for senior leadership, the Investment Committee, and the Board. You will also lead and develop a skilled treasury function, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team culture aligned with Western’s values and strategic direction.

Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $110,000 – $140,000. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is available.
