Aecon Technical Solutions Inc. employs highly trained technicians to perform telecommunications infrastructure installations. Whether at residential, retail, commercial, institutional or hospitality environments ATSI is well-suited to assist clients with their telecom installation needs.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for goods being issued, tool crib operations, delivery duties, and housekeeping in the warehouse.
What You'll Do Here:
- Keep the warehouse clean, well organized, and safe at all times.
- Follow all workplace safety rules and take part in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Receive incoming deliveries and check quantities and condition against purchase and shipping documents; record receipts in the system with guidance.
- Store materials in the correct warehouse locations, keep location labels accurate, and move materials between locations as required.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring correct packaging, labeling, and paperwork.
- Assist with inventory counts and adjustments; report any discrepancies or damaged materials.
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks, complete equipment safety checks before use, and maintain warehouse and yard cleanliness.
- Use handheld scanners and the warehouse system to track all material movements; report system issues or blocked transactions to the supervisor.
- Assist with courier and freight pickups, deliveries, and processing of returned items.
- Follow Aecon environmental, health, and safety procedures, participate in safety discussions, and report hazards or near‑miss incidents.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 1–2 years warehouse experience (construction, utilities, telecom, or distribution preferred).
- Experience with handheld scanning and basic SAP EWM (or similar WMS) is an asset; training provided.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in warehouse conditions (cold/heat).
- Physically able to perform repetitive tasks, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs while wearing PPE
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint) and effective communication with team members and drivers.
- Ability to work onsite at the assigned location and support other sites as needed.
- Availability for shift‑based work, including early starts and occasional overtime.
Pay Range: $20-$26 hourly.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
