About the Opportunity

• Act as a hands-on FP&A and commercial finance partner embedded in the business, translating financial and operational data into actionable insights that improve profitability, cash flow, and performance
• Develop and own department-level P&Ls across multiple service lines, with a strong understanding of how the business generates margin
• Analyze profitability by revenue stream (e.g., residential vs. light/heavy commercial; recurring service vs. project-based work)
• Identify key margin drivers, pricing gaps, and underperforming areas to support commercial decision-making
• Build and maintain accurate job costing models covering materials, labour, and overhead
• Improve visibility and controls across raw materials, WIP, and job-related finished goods, partnering with operations to track actuals vs. estimates
• Support inventory control, valuation, and turnover improvement, including working capital considerations
• Analyze labour utilization, productivity, billable rates, and labour recovery, and assess their impact on margins
• Own the rolling forecast and annual budgeting process, including driver-based models, scenario analysis, and cash flow forecasting
• Partner with finance and operations to deliver process improvement, systemization, and Business Intelligence implementation to enhance reporting and scalability

About You

• 5-8+ years of professional accounting experience in FP&A and commercial finance.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable guidance for non-financial partners.
• Construction, Service, or Manufacturing industry experience.

Salary Range
$115,000 - $130,000/year
